Protecting the health of animals and people is our top priority. We ensure this through strict biosecurity measures across all our farms, with practices designed to prevent the introduction and spread of disease.
Regulatory Compliance
Bompieri Group has implemented all measures required by Italian and European legislation: external fencing, separate access routes, mandatory hygiene facilities for anyone entering, cleaning and disinfection protocols, and regular veterinary checks.
Bompieri Group is the first in Italy to introduce the Farm Health Guardian (FHG) digital system, an innovative biosecurity platform that provides real-time monitoring of vehicle and personnel movements, further strengthening disease prevention and ensuring the highest level of animal protection.
The project has been developed in collaboration with the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale della Lombardia e dell'Emilia-Romagna (IZSLER), an Italian public veterinary institute specialising in animal health and welfare and food safety. IZSLER works alongside Bompieri Group to define biosecurity protocols, scientifically evaluate the system, and analyse the collected data. All data are integrated into the company's health monitoring and herd stabilisation programme, enabling early detection of potential health risks and continuous improvement in prevention and control measures.

All transport operations are carried out using dedicated vehicles operating exclusively for Bompieri Group, with no movements to farms outside our network. This approach reduces the risk of external contamination and ensures a higher level of biosecurity and protection across the entire supply chain.
